Last week, in our new elementary school auditorium, the children in El Crucero celebrated the best Mother's day ever! What a blessing! In our old assembly hall, we could only seat about 350 people at one time. So first the elementary school children would have their celebration with their mothers, followed by the high school students and their mothers. Of course, this would only work, when not too many mothers would decide to come. Otherwise, there just was not enough room. But not this year. This year there was plenty of room! Thanks to those who "prayed" and "gave" to make New Hope Grossnickle Center a reality! No, it's not finished yet... but the Lord willing, it will be soon.

We rejoice as to how far we have come on this building! No, there are no doors on the building as of yet, and there are still a multitude of other things to do... but we are praising the Lord that we are nearing the "home stretch." We are glad that... ALL OF NEW HOPE'S NEEDS ARE BEING  MET ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY!  Amen!  

As we prepare to have regular assemblies for our 590 children (plus teachers, staff, and visitors) and set dates for the first crusades to be held in our new building, New Hope is in dire need of chairs. We only have about 400 chairs. We need at least another 600-800 chairs at a cost of about $6 each. THANK YOU FOR AGREEING WITH US IN PRAYER FOR THE FINANCES NEEDED TO PURCHASE THESE CHAIRS. We need them A.S.A.P.

We praise the Lord for the $6,000 that has been given to take care of the transporting of 166,320 meals to feed hungry children in Nicaragua. What a blessing!!! The Lord willing, this container will leave Birmingham the last of June. This is a major breakthrough for New Hope! Finally, we have the food available to us that we need to help feed these hungry children. These are children we have had to turn away because of lack of finances. God is so good!!! Special thanks to those of you who have given to pay the freight of getting these meals to Nicaragua.

Recently New Hope's Spanish teacher Elena Parano was chosen as the #1 Spanish teacher in our whole school district! Elena has a great reputation for how she teaches Spanish to her students. We are thankful that her abilities are recognized by the Nicaraguan school administration.

God is truly accomplishing great things through your support in Nicaragua.  Needless to say... to it all, we say, "To the Lord be the glory."
