EXTRA HEADER
NEW HOPE NEWS BREAK VOL 8-13

The reason I am sending this New Hope Newsbreak to you is... once again, I URGENTLY need your "Prayer of Agreement."

I NEED FOR YOU TO BELIEVE WITH ME...  for eight (churches or individuals) to give $100 a week for 18 weeks so we can finish building the children's home here in the rainforest and take care other areas of need for Operation Breakthrough... among the Miskito Indians.

I understand that over 200 Miskito Indians from the village of Kisalaya have signed up to work on the children's home. They are excited! They really want to be a part of this project.

We are rotating 11 men crews each week.  We keep five experienced men, two to instruct, two who have chainsaws, to make two sides of the logs flat, notch, etc., and then one interpretur who works along side the men, and then we hire 11 new men each week.

It will take us around 18 weeks to give all the men at least one week's work. During that week,  a man from the village will make $40 to help feed his family. No, that's not much, but it will give each man in the village an opportunity to be a part of building the children's home and also providing something for his family (and it is above the going rate - if there was a job available - which there isn't).

None of these 200 men are able to find employment as there are no jobs available anywhere in the area for them. They are looking to us.

We keep pointing toward Heaven and telling them to PRAY that God will touch the hearts of Americans to give so we can hire them and finish building "House of Hope of Kisalaya."

Last Sunday afternoon we met with a large group of people from the village of Kisalaya who were asking for jobs. Not one of them asked for a 'hand out," only the opportunity to work. They begin by telling us they were very poor and they needed a job.

Eight churches or individuals can provide this opportunity to every man in the village, by giving $100 a week for 18 weeks (or at one time gift of $1,800).

You will notice from all that we do with New Hope, we never ask for a dollar for ourselves (this is why 100% can go to the children). All of us from the U.S. donate our time, pay our own airfare to Nicaragua, etc. But, we do need those who believe in this ministry to "hold up our hands" so Operation Breakthrough can go forward.

This past week we did not have enough to even pay the workers ($600). On Wednesday I metwitht he judge of the village and shared with him we did not have the money to pay the workers. Although this was embarrassing, it was the facts.  He was very understanding.

Since I had less than $100 here (a very difficult situation to be in on the missionfield), I asked him if we could pay the workers later when the finances come in. He very graciously agreed. The workers would keep working, believing for the money. But, this is not how we must do business here.

Those who know me, know that when I take on a mission project, I am determined... to trust the Lord and do all I can take it to the finish. Regardless of "hell or highwater" (as we say in Tennessee)... I am "committed" not to "give up" or "give in"... as long as I have breath.

If more than eight INVESTORS step up the plate to give $100 a week for 18 weeks, we will be able hire more workers and finish the children's home much quicker. We believe that we can finish this home in 18 weeks. Plus, we need to dig a well, finish fencing, clear ground, etc.

One thing that has been very unusual about hiring the Miskito Indians from Kisalaya, they do not miss work! All 15 men come in to work from Monday - Saturday. This is very unusual in Nicaragua. This demonstrates to us they really want to work. They are just waiting for us to give them the opportunity.  The question before us in this email... is we will do it???

I will not even entertain this thought... but, if eight "givers" do not quickly come forward, we would temporary close the project and go home. We are here investing all of our time (and finances), but if ever happened (I do not believe it will)... that we had no money to pay the laborers here, I would personally pay the week's workers and close the project and return home until the finances were in place to continue. But, this must not happen!!!

I will need to return home from "time to time," but, the Lord willing, it will only be when someone from the U.S. is in place to take my place in overseeing this project.

By the way... "just in time," a church in Milan, Tennessee felt to take an offering last Sunday ($1,000) and send it to Birmingham. It arrived in Birmingham... "just in time" and we were able immediately transfer the funds here. We will now be able to pay the workers here this week for working (and had some left over to take care of some other immediate needs). What a blessing... and "right on time."

I paid everyone today and had about $100 left over...

I am looking forward to hearing from eight or more givers who desire to help provide food for the poor (not just a handout) and a home for the homeless.

I have "shared the vision" with you. I have "made it plain." Now, I pray that everyone who reads these lines... is obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Hab 2:2

As soon as I can,  I plan on emailing you an new publication I have just produced that I call, "Heavenly Investments." It is quite unique! Please

I did not produce it for "professing Christians" but for real "Followers of Christ." If that is "YOU,"... I will be looking forward to your feedback after you receive it.

We are so thankful that one ministry has blessed New Hope to help us begin building.. This ministry gave $5,000 towards our initial construction costs (which we just used up this week)... and then this week gave another $5,050 towards the four-wheel drive truck we need. Thanks so much for helping New Hope to make a difference in the lives of Miskito Indians here.

This week I needed to drive to Puerto Cabezas. It was a rough 280 miles round trip. I drove it in one day dodging holes, and what looked like ponds. If anyone had been with us on this trip, they would had purchased a four-wheel drive just to make sure we made it back.

IF IT HAD RAINED ON THE TRIP, I DON'T KNOW IF WE WOULD HAVE

MADE IT BACK OR NOT???

Now all we need is $6,950 more. We know that God will SOON met this

need...

We were also blessed by two other brothers (in the Lord), in the beginning of this outreach who also gave $5,000 each to help us with the initial set up of getting everything in place here to get started. Without their gift, we could not have started this mission outreach. It took their gift of $10,00 plus more just to get started. Thanks so much brothers...
