BY FAITH WE ARE MOVING FORWARD... It
is all so amazing!!! Words can not describe all the things that
are coming into place for New Hope's ministry to the Miskito Indians in
the rain forest of Nicaragua!!! If
you are interested in knowing more of the details as well as hearing
our New Hope team members share their experiences of being with us on
this mission outreach, you may want to go to: www.nhcradio.org - then, under "PREVIOUS BROADCASTS - click on the "live broadcast" we made on JUNE 10, 2011." OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH And the... mighty men BRAKE THROUGH the host... II Samuel 23:16 Deep
in the rain forest of Nicaragua... nestled on the banks of the Coco
River... lies a little Miskito Indian village known as Kisalaya.
Since
2004, New Hope Children's Foundation has been blessed with the
opportunity to provide food, medical care, and most importantly...
the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Miskito Indian children and
their families who live in the rainforest of the nation of Nicaragua. As
a result of New Hope's various outreaches to the Miskito Indians over
the past seven years, the seven elders of the village of Kisalaya met
with our New Hope team on June 4th. The
elders met to approve giving New Hope a large acreage to facilitate a
base of operations for New Hope in the rainforest. The parcel of ground
is big. It's over a two-mile walk just around the perimeter of our new
property.
The elders rule is supreme in each village. Their word
is "law." Not even the Nicaraguan military can overrule their decisions.
And "their decision"... was to give New Hope all the land we needed to
be able to reach their people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It's
interesting to note that six of the seven elders are pastors. The
seventh elder is "the judge" in the village and he too loves the
Lord!
Their
gift was not just "any ground. " It is "good, high, cleared ground."
Ground which New Hope can use for the building up of the Kingdom of God
throughout the rain forest.

The vision of "Operation Breakthrough" is: 1) TO BUILD A CHILDREN'S HOME
for the children we rescue from the rainforest. We believe this
will be ongoing. As we keep rescuing children... we will keep building
(as long as there is a need). This is our present plan for the home:
We
have designed it so we can continue building on the lower side. You
will notice from the colors, we have designed it to be completed in
stages. Phase 1 is the area we plan to begin building in August. 2) TO TEACH THE MISKITO INDIANS HOW TO GROW CROPS to feed their families in the village of Kisalaya and the other 121 villages throughout the rainforest (72,000 people). We plan on providing seed and the "know how" to the villagers so they will be able to become self-sufficient. Presently
they are so hungry that if we gave them seed, they would eat it. Also,
due to the change in weather patterns (from much of the rain forest
being cut), the rains do not come as they use to. We will have to help
them irrigate their gardens or whatever they plant will shrivel up and
die. 3) PROVIDE FOOD TO FAMILIES WHO ARE ALMOST STARVING. We plan on doing this primarily by boat as over 100 of these villages can only be reached by river. We
understand there are areas along the Coco River where Miskito Indians
are eating leaves and bark off the trees to survive. All of this will
change as together we do what Jesus told us to do... and that is to feed
the hungry. We
have all probably heard, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a
day, teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime." We
are believing this will soon become a reality as we work beside these
families teaching them how to work the ground and grow the food
their families so desperately need to survive. We
fed around 500 hungry children at our first feeding of children in the
village of Kisalaya. We were told that there would be 700 the next
day!

During
out first feeding, around 20 children responded to give their lives to
Jesus Christ. It doesn't get any better than that! And... it's just the
beginning.
4) TEACH ENGLISH, COMPUTER AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP AND BIBLE TO THE STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. This
is amazing as there are 600 children in an elementary school in
Kisalaya and 1,000 students in the village of Waspan that are waiting
for us to come and teach them. New
Hope will not need to build schools or hire teachers. They are already
there, just waiting for the laborers that God will send to New Hope to
work in this area. 5) EVANGELIZE EVERY MISKITO INDIAN VILLAGE. The mayor of Waspan has opened the door for New Hope to work in 121 villages (72,000 inhabitants).
We
plan on doing this with the teams who come from the U.S. to work with
us at New Hope. We will target a village(s) and during the team's visit,
go to that village and minister (pass out tracts, etc.) 6) BUILD A BIBLE SCHOOL TO TRAIN PASTORS TO REACH THEIR OWN PEOPLE WITH THE GOSPEL. More Than Conquerors School of Theology has all the resources to make this a reality! It
is important to bring about a spiritual change in the Miskito Indian
families. There is no one who can do it better than the ministers who
are working for the Lord in the rainforest. In fact, we just ordained about 30 ministers into the ministry on this trip.
7) ESTABLISH
A RADIO STATION THAT CAN BROADCAST TO THE ENTIRE RAINFOREST, THE
"GOOD NEWS OF OUR SAVIOUR'S LOVE" FOR THE MISKITO INDIAN PEOPLE. We have looked into purchasing a 150' tower and everything we need to get started. The cost would be around $7,500. We
have also talked to pastors in the area and they are ready to help us
broadcast in the Miskito Indian language. This is a phenomenal
opportunity! 8) RAISE UP AND TRAIN MISKITO INDIANS TO GO FORTH AND GATHER IN THE SPIRITUAL HARVEST THROUGHOUT THE RAINFOREST. This
is a vital part of Operation Breakthrough. There is not enough of "US"
to reach all of "THEM." We are believing, and with God's help, for a new
generation to be raised up to go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit
so... "none will be lost." 9) ESTABLISH
A MISSIONARY TRAINING CENTER SO THAT MEN AND WOMEN FROM AROUND THE
WORLD CAN COME AND PREPARE FOR THE MISSIONARY WORK TO WHICH GOD HAS
CALLED THEM. What
better place is there to get "hands on training" than right in the
middle of one of the world's most ignored spiritual harvest
fields? This
is "IT"... this is "THE TIME"... for those whom GOD UNITES with this
ministry to go forth in... "OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH"!!!
WE NEED YOUR PRAYER OF AGREEMENT FOR THE MANY NEEDS THAT MUST BE MET FOR THIS VISION TO BECOME A REALITY... Pray for LABORERS to be raised up to come to the rainforest and work with New Hope. We need volunteers to: 1) SHARE Christ's love with the children.
2) SHARE Christ's love with the adults.
3) WORK
in constructing the needed facilities. The Lord willing, Brother
Ford will be beginning construction on August 23rd. Construction help
will be needed from thereon out.
4) TEACH English to students in the schools. Volunteers do not need a degree, only a good grasp of the English language.
5) HELP PLANT the crops and work the ground as we teach Miskito Indians how to grow their own food.
6) FACILITATE the vision God has laid on our hearts.
Please agree with us in prayer for the IMMEDIATE TOOLS we need to make the beginning of this vision a reality. 1) FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK
to help staff members to reach the property (the main bridge was
destroyed by the last hurricane). This truck is also needed to reach
outlying villages. Without transportation, we can not proceed. 2) TRACTOR AND EQUIPMENT
to break up the ground and prepare for acres and acres of gardens. We
also need this tractor (with a front end loader) to use in constructing
Phase 1 of the children's home. 3) FINANCES
to purchase materials to make our own concrete blocks (there are none
for sale in this remote area), building materials, lots of seed,
fencing, farm animals, supplies, etc. We are so thankful for the
two who each gave $5,000 to start this project. This will help us
initially, but within a very short time, we will need additional
finances. WE
ALSO PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE THREE CHILDREN THE TEAM RESCUED AND
BROUGHT TO "HOUSE OF HOPE" IN WASPAN DURING THIS OUTREACH. We
praise the Lord for the three precious little souls that now call
"House of Hope" their home. They are no doubt sleeping in their first
beds, eating more than they ever have and being loved for perhaps the
first time in their lives.
WE ALSO WANT TO ESPECIALLY THANK ALL THE NEW HOPE TEAM MEMBERS WHO CAME FROM SO FAR TO WORK WITH US ON THIS MISSION OUTREACH...
Eli, Moses and Mary Lee from Houston, MO Tom Roth from Silverton, Oregon Camille Wallace from Salem, OR Joe Woodman from Fort Collins, CO Mike Jones from Trussville, AL Tom Davis from Ripley, TN David Berman from Grand Rivers, KY Ryan Heath from Munster, IN Jonathan Koeppel from Lacombe, LA Lauren Edinborough, Kyle Marklin, Ezekiel, Leonardo and Charity from New Hope What
a team! What a blessing each team member was to New Hope. God brought
together some very "Speclal Forces" to help pioneer... OPERATON BREAKTHROUGH!!! |
